PROGRAM

Arrival on Sunday between 15.00-18.00.
- All participants at your same level will arrive at the same time and you will have the level test together 30 min after arrival.
- After you have checked in, you go directly to the big sports hall where we will test your level.

Classes from Monday to Friday

*Monday afternoon, you will have the opportunity to buy some dance shoes*

In the evening there is more dance, where we make the sports hall, into a Salsa, Bachata and latin Discotek, so everyone can train what they have learned during the day, dance a lot of social and have fun together. We have a nice, cheap bar.

07:45 - 08:45: The swimming pool is open

08:00 - 09:15: Breakfast buffet (last day from 9:00-10:45)

09:15- 09:25: Morning meeting (in the hall) first morning the meeting is at 9:00

09:30 - 10:30: Cuban Salsa Classes and a bit of Rueda de Casino (If you only like to take Afro and Rumba, you can not take part of this morning classes, but you need to put it in the form when you sign up)

10:30 - 10:40: Break

10:40 - 11:40: Cuban Salsa Classes and a bit of Rueda de Casino (If you only like to take Afro and Rumba, you can not take part of this morning classes, but you need to put it in the form when you sign up)

10:40-11:40: Afro Cuban and Rumba dance (only for the people that are signed up for that Camp)

11:40 - 12:00: Break (fruit and juice)

12:00-13:00: Afro Cuban and Rumba historie (only for the people that are signed up for that Camp)

12:00 - 13:00: Cuban Salsa Classes and a bit of Rueda de Casino (If you only like to take Afro and Rumba classes, you can not take part of this morning classes, but you need to put it in the form when you sign up)

13:00 - 14:15: Lunch buffet

14:15 - 16:00: Relaxation (take a trip to the beach, get a massage or a walk in the beatiful forest)

15:30 - 16:00: Coffee and cake

14:00-18:00 Afro Cuban and Rumba song class with live music (We now have even more dance classes in this dance style)

16:00 - 16:10: meeting (in the hall)

16:15 - 17:15: Workshops. Choose between Son, Salsa Men/Lady Styling, Bachata, Reggaetón, Rumba, Afro Cuban dance

17:20 - 18:20: Workshops. Choose between Son, Salsa Men/Lady Styling, Bachata, Reggaetón, Rumba, Afro Cuban dance

18:20 - 19:50: The swimming pool is open

17:00 - 01:00: The bar is open

19:15 - 20:30: Dinner buffet

20:30 - 21:30: One evening we will have a lectures in Cuban religion, dances and music

21:00 - 01:00: Salsa Social dancing every evening Monday to Thursday (big party night Friday until (02:30)

22:15 - 23:00: Animation, dance shows or live music with the Cubans, every night is different

Cuban Camp party Friday, July 25th, 2024

This event is open for everyone. The party is included in the price for the Cuban Camp participants. Program and links for registration will come up later.

Guests that do not participate in the camp, can sign up for dinner and party. We recommend purchasing your ticket well in advance. There is a limited amount of tickets and it's first come first serve.

Saturday is the departure day

09:00 - 11:00: Breakfast/ brunch

10:00 - 11:00: Check-out from the rooms, you need to make sure your room is clean, and you have to leave your key at the entrance to bosei, it costs you 500 DKK if you forget it.

THE CLASSES

The classes are very intensive. Besides Salsa in the morning, we also offer a lot of Reggaetón, Bachata, Son, Afro-Cuban dance and Rumba, which can be chosen in the afternoon, if you have energy for more dancing.

NEW OPTION: We have expanded the program with 6 hours daily classes and workshops of Afro Cuban Dance & Rumba (Dance, Song and historie). You can sign up for this part only, without participating in the morning Salsa classes, if you do not like to dance Salsa.

The Salsa participants people, can still take part I the Afro Cuban & Rumba classes and workshops in the afternoon.You need to answer in the sign up form if you are ONLY going to participate in Afro Cuban Dance & Rumba classes between 14.00 and 18.00.

ATTENTION: You can register for the Cuban Salsa Camp without a sign-up partner or with a sign-up partner

Discount: If you want to obtain a discount, then you need to find a sign-up partner of the opposite sex. You can try to find a friend or someone from your network who would like to participate (the person does not need to be on the same dance level as you or someone you live with, and you sign up individually). The discount will be refunded to your card shortly before the course starts. The sign-up partner needs to sign up at the latest 48 hours after you have signed up in order for both of you to get the discount.

We always strive to get the amount of men and women to be equal, and it usually ends up fitting well. If you already dance, you can ask one from your dance class or your network, if the Salsa Summer Camp could be something for them.

To all of you that already dances a lot, our fantastic teachers always have a lot of new moves and techniques to offer. The classes are very inspiring, fun and educational.

Location

The Salsa Camp will be held one hour drive from Copenhagen, at the beautiful Idrætshøjskolen Bosei, Evensølundvej 5, 4720 Præstø in Denmark

We found this fantastic high school, with great surroundings and with the most beautiful facilities, we have been now at Bosei since 2018.

We have previously held the camp at diffrent places: Møn Friskole, Rødkilde Theather High School, and a single year at Langebæk Course and Retreat Center - so we have been around a lot. But this new place is definitely the best place to date.

Facilities at Bosei

The main building was originally a sanatorium, and since they have expanded with Japanese-inspired buildings.

There is a big swimming pool, workout center, several activities- and sports rooms, and a fantastic natural environment. There is also a Japanese library, creative workshop, music room and much more. Around the buildings, there is woods, a soccer field, tennis courts and more. It is not far away from the ocean, so it is possible to also take a beach trip.

As a participant, you can make use of all the facilities without extra charge.

Rooms

There is room for over 240 participants that can stay at Bosei. There are 90 double rooms, together with 40 tent spots (not big family tents).

Every year we have 30% couples and 70% singles from all over the country, and the rest of Scandinavia, and a few from the rest of Europa, that participate in our fantastic salsa camp.
